Florit (CaF2) Florit, (CaF2) kalsiyum florür bileşiminde olup, saf olduğunda Q.3 Kalsiyum, H.7 fluor içerir. Metalurjide cüruf yapıcı olarak kullanıldığı ve düşük ergime noktasına haiz olmasından, Latince fluere (akmak) kelimesinden gelmektedir. Doğada en çokca renk çeşitliliğine haiz minerallerden birisidir. Ticari alanda florit üç sınıfa ayrılabilir. Asit sanayinde kullanılan (Asitspar yada Asitgrade) Kimya sanayinde kullanılan (Seramikspar yada ceramic grade) Metalurji sanayinde kullanılan (Metspar) Metalurjik aşama olarak tanımlanan `-85 CaF2 içerikli floritler çelik üretiminde cüruf yüzey basıncını düşürmede, erime sıcaklığı ve cüruf viskozitesinin azaltılmasında, demirden Si, S, P ve C benzer biçimde istenmeyenlerin cürufa geçirilerek uzaklaştırılmasında ve refrakter tuğlaların aşınmasının önlenmesinde kullanılırlar. Çelik endüstri haricinde aşındırıcıların üretiminde bağlayıcı madde olarak kullanması laf konusudur.
