Steel Shot
Casting cleaning and shot peening
Steel shot is among the most widely used materials for surface cleaning, removal of foreign material and improvement of metal surfaces. It is especially effective in post-casting cleaning. Grain size determines the final surface finish and roughness.
It is used extensively in shot peening to increase the compressive strength and load resistance of parts such as crankshafts, turbine blades, gears and springs.
